Potential and Confidence Development Camp 2024
Operation Breakthrough concluded 2024 with the Potential and Confidence Development Camp at Wong Yee Chau in December. Forty-eight members and volunteers participated in a series of team building and personal development activities over the three-day youth camp.
On the first day, participants were briefed on the rules and expectations. Each day began with a morning assembly, which included physical exercises and foot drills practice, instilling a sense of self discipline.
On the first night, volunteers and participants gathered to establish their goal for the camp. It was crucial for them to have clear targets to work towards, both physically and psychologically.
The Youngster were divided into teams for dodge disc and Roman catapult competitions, where they learned about respect and fairness through friendly races.
The ultimate challenge of the camp took place on the final day, when participants needed to collect branches for the camp-fire and barbecue.
They organized themselves into teams, assigning roles for finding, picking, transferring and building. Everyone worked diligently towards the common goal.
It was rewarding to accompany our members, create lasting memories, and witness the growth and development of each individuals they overcome the challenge presented to them.
